Our World Now

Is oileán d'Éirinn ó thuaidh-iarthar-roinn na hEorpa. Is é an t-oileán tríú-is mó san Eoraip agus an t-oileán fichiú-is mó ar domhan. Mo theaghlach, an Prendergasts, dul ar ais go Contae Phort Láirge, Éire. Mo mór, mór, mór, mór, mór, tháinig seanmháthair mór go Meiriceá le seacht ochtar leanaí tar éis bás a fear céile. I mo thuairimse, lá amháin ba mhaith liom buíochas a cuairt a thabhairt ar Éirinn chun cuairt a thabhairt ar mo baile dúchais dteaghlaigh agus a fheiceáil áit a raibh cónaí orthu, b'fhéidir, agus d'oibrigh sé.

Teaghlaigh i ndáiríre tábhachtach go háirithe nuair a chiallaíonn siad go leor a thabhairt duit. Tá mé ag scríobh seo a insint duit faoi mo theaghlach. Is í an teanga eile go bhfuil sé scríofa i nGaeilge sa teanga, Gaeilge (Gaeilge), ar a dtugtar freisin mar Gaelach nó Ghaeilge na hÉireann. An bhfuil a fhios agat faoin áit do theaghlach a tháinig? Cén teanga raibh siad labhairt? Nó an bhfuil ár n-dúchais chun do thír féin? Nuair a bhí riamh do ó, buíochas a ghabháil do theaghlach toisc go bhfuil conas a fuair anseo.

Ireland is an island to the north-west of continental Europe. It is the third-largest island in Europe and the twentieth-largest island on Earth. My family, the Prendergasts, go back to County Waterford, Ireland. My great, great, great, great, great, great grandmother came to America with seven of her eight children after her husband's death. I think one day I would like to visit Ireland to visit my families home town and see where they possibly lived and worked.

Family is really important especially when they mean a lot to you. I'm writing this to tell you about my family. The other language it is written in is in Irish the language, Irish (Gaeilge), also known as Irish Gaelic or Gaelic. Do you know about where your family originated? What language did they speak? Or are our native to your country? Where ever your from, thank your family because that is how you got here.
